IMPORTANT ROOM CHANGE:
On this date, class will meet in Foreign Language Building (FLB) room G8-A. This room is in the basement.
Directions to this building -- Floorplan of basement

Discussed in class: City of Heroes, Kijkwijzer.

Remember that the minimum V. 1 project length is 5 pages of effort and 5 elements from the project elements menu (see 10/12). Here is an example structure for a 5 page V. 1 project using 5 menu elements:

Project: Holographic Shufflepuck
  1. Definition of Play
(How is shufflepuck a form of play?)
  2. Description of Playful Techs
    ('traditional' vs. 'holographic' shufflepuck)
  3. Ideal Users
(shufflepuck is traditionally a bar game; drinkers as players)
  4. Plot/Narrative Summary
(how a game of holographic shufflepuck proceeds)
  5. Incentive Systems
(shufflepuck, levels, points, and the yearly tournament)

All elements should demonstrate knowledge of the course material where it applies. Don't relegate course material to one section at the end!
