Tomorrow Frank and Chris K. will go to Springfield to talk to the Lieutenant Governor's Broadband Deployment Council. Check out the handout they will be distributing. This is a big step for our group.
In Student Senate, we were searching for new logos, and my graphic designer came up with this. If we used it, we could have it for free and wouldn't have to wait for a new one to be designed. We would just have him tweak it for our purposes. Anyway, without any further ado:

Discuss.
Thanks to Aaron Bailey, patron saint of Movable Type, the aggregator now does what it should have been doing all along. More CSS upgrades for usability will come as the semester progresses.
I would like to thank Aaron Bailey for his help with the blog aggregator. He was kind enough to explain this system to me. Comment here and show him some love.
Let's do a quick rundown of everything I have at my disposal. We're going to do this neatly and in an orderly fashion, so everyone just cool out.
Software
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe InDesign
- Adobe Acrobat
- Flash
- Dreamweaver
- Fireworks
- Microsoft Office
- Apple iWork '08 (Keynote > PowerPoint)
Equipment
- Laptop
- Digital camera
- Car (it seats four semi-comfortably, five in a real pinch)
- Mobile phone (does this count?)
Skills
- Excellent writing skills. Maybe it doesn't come through here but you can check out my portfolio by clicking this link.
- I can cook. That could come in handy.
- I can do front-end web design (i.e., HTML, CSS)
- Tend to be pretty creative
- I rose from the dead once
- As a member of the Boy Scouts, I was in charge of a week-long event with a budget of $500,000 and a staff of 250. How does this help you? Those 250 people are really easy to talk to, and they come from a diverse background. And I'm a great event planner.
- Can edit video and audio
Personal Connections
- I work for an ad agency. We might be able to get some graphic design done cheaply.
- My father is the Deputy Chief of Police in Alton, IL. He writes a lot of grants to get communication equipment for the department, so he could answer some questions about public service and wireless equipment.
- My internship at Motorola last year put me in touch with some interesting people
- I worked with Congressman John Shimkus (R-IL) a couple years ago, and may be able to get some info out of his staff.
