The state requires for teachers to incorporate the use of technology and new media into their instruction. What if we were to come up with some lesson plan ideas in accordance to the state standards?

So we thought it would be a good idea to build a radio out of random
junk. According to the website it was on, we could use thumb tacks,
safety pins, a wooden board, magnet wire, and other stuff that was
apparently readily available in World War II trenches. After rummaging
through the storage closets at a few museums here in town, I was able
to find everything, save for the magnet wire. I made a trip to Radio
Shack, where I ran into this guy Jameson from class who DIDN'T SAY HI,
and then spent $5 for three spools.
In class I managed to snip through several cables while trying to strip them. Luckily my awesome teammates had things under control, and I even learned that you just have to strip the ends of a wire, rather than the whole thing! We followed everything like the video said, but when the moment of truth came, our radio picked up a whole lot of nothing.
Overall, it was a very hands-on and interactive classroom project. I got excited at the thought of learning how to build a radio, but unfortunately it didn't work. I got my hopes up, and it just ended in failure... story of my life.
And now here's a picture so you don't think I'm making this up...
