Studying the Rhythm of Online Community Communication

Not exactly what I had in mind, but time's up. I'll post a link on this blog if I get a working system up over break.
There's text after the references.
Also, I hate Word 2007.

Mapping the Newspaper Free Exchange System: An Argument for Newspaper Historians

Hey everyone,

Attached is the final paper.  I drew a map and tried to upload the pdf but it says the file size is too big.  I am not sure how to save it as something other than a pdf.  I will try to upload it again.  Have a good winter break.

Final Paper Post

Here it goes--a paper on online ethnographic methods.
Hope everyone has a fantastic winter break, and if anyone is going to be around with nothing to do for break, let me know.  I will be in town the entire break.  Take care!

ps.  Let me know if there are any problems with the file opening up.

Citizen Science and Feminist Perspective in Research for Local Knowledge Production and Action

Yikes. Not at all ready to let it go, but have another paper to work on. I find that I do not feel too bad if I think of it as a first draft submission rather than a final version appearing in a journal.

Thanks, everyone. This has been a great class with all of you.

Groups exercise: which one is a better way to do research?

Reading assignment: Roth (1966)

Format:

Before class begins, ask students to read the reading and to send in short comments. I will let students know they are going to have a debate over issues in the readings.

In their comments sent to me before class, students need to indicate which sides they will take. They could also indicate that they are undecided or neutral.
