(*) irc anyone?

1. Anyone used Mirc? I remember first learning how to use it to download various files and such. It was during the time after AOL and into the cable/broadband era. Chatting was fairly simple, just type on the keyboard. AOL made it easy to send and receive files; however, when using irc to download files from fserves or setting up one required a little bit more patience and learning. It required a set of simple text to open a chat window or connect to a specific server. This application reminded me of the text command days which I never experienced. After learning the simple text commands required to utilize the application, next step was to find out where everything was, information. It was a mess of channels and lists which you yourself had to often sort out. This was 10 years ago, and from time to time I log on to find older files that I might want that are harder to find now on the everyday internet websites.
