About Us
The Project on Public Policy and Advanced Communication Technology (The PACT Lab) is the multidisciplinary research group of Prof. Christian Sandvig at the University of Illinois. Our lab produces scholarly research about information and communication technologies in the interest of society. Through participants and partners, we combine expertise in the social sciences with engineering. Our studies are particularly focused on the conflicts that result between legal, technical, and social elements of large-scale technological systems.
