Ryan Spain received his undergraduate degree in Speech Communication and Political Science while working in the PACT lab as a researcher. During his time at UIUC, Spain was named a James Scholar of the university for academic excellence in undergraduate work. Upon graduation, Spain received the King Broadrick-Allen Award for the most outstanding graduating senior pursuing a career in law and policy, as well as the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Bronze Tablet honoring the top 3% of all undergraduates. He is currently working for The Heartland Partnership, doing economic and community development work for the Peoria area. He has been admitted to the Masters for Public Administration program at Syracuse University.
