Playful Technology Design Awards


A panel of industry professionals recognized outstanding student work from the UIUC course "Play & Technology" in a ceremony on December 7 in Engineering Hall. First prize went to Matthew Yapchaian for his project, "Ephemeral Mapping," a photo-sharing game played with camera-equipped cell phones in urban spaces.

The distinguished panel of judges included representatives from Intel Research, Yahoo!, Shutterfly, Microsoft Game Studios, Volition, and Counter Productive Industries. For more information, see the course projects page.
