IAPCODE is a three-year research project carried out by the Programme in Comparative Media Law and Policy at Oxford University, to which Sandvig was an advisor. The project investigated the use of self-regulatory codes of conduct by Internet Service Providers, comparing them to industry codes of conduct in film, video games, television industries, and mobile telecommunications.

The project's Web site is http://www.selfregulation.info/. The project also produced a database of European codes of conduct.
